All About Claddagh School of Irish Dance

Community. Culture. Confidence. Creativity.

Since our inception in 2008, our core focus has been nurturing the self-confidence of our dancers, enabling them to reach their utmost potential within a positive and enriching learning environment. At the heart of our school’s philosophy are the values of the Claddagh: Love, Friendship, and Loyalty. These values help in creating our spirited TEAM atmosphere within the studio.

-Together Everyone Achieves More-

Our curriculum-based dance programs are purposely crafted to challenge each dancer, developing concentration, musicality, coordination, balance, and self-confidence - establishing a strong technical foundation. Through engaging in solo and ceili dances, our dancers not only progress individually but also cultivate essential teamwork and group skills. Opportunities abound, from community performances to dance camps, workshops, competitions, examinations, and of course our annual concert.

In 2021, we achieved a significant milestone, proudly becoming the first Irish dance school in Queensland to secure a soloist World Championship title. Sarah was crowned the U27 World Irish Dance Association World Champion. In 2024, Claddagh was proud to be the school for two solo World Champions with Issey winning the U8 World Championship and Sarah winning the U30 World Championship.

I'm enthusiastic about welcoming you to our classes and sharing my profound love for Irish dancing with you all!
