WIDA World Championships 2025

We are incredibly proud to share the outstanding achievements of our Claddagh dancers at the recent World Irish Dance Championships!  These dancers have worked tirelessly, dedicating countless hours to their training, and their results speak volumes about their commitment, resilience, and passion for Irish dance.

A Historic Moment for Claddagh – Sarah’s Third World Title!

Congratulations to Sarah, who has made history for our studio by achieving her third World Champion title! This extraordinary accomplishment reflects not only Sarah’s incredible talent and determination but also the years of hard work and dedication she has poured into mastering her technique. Her success is an inspiration to all our dancers, proving that with passion and perseverance, dreams really do come true.

We also need to celebrate the amazing efforts of Marley, who proudly placed 27th, and Isabella, who secured an impressive 25th place at the World Championships in their respective age groups. Competing at this level is an incredible achievement in itself, and both dancers represented our Claddagh family with grace, strength, and skill on the world stage.

WIDA World Championships 2024

We’re thrilled to share the outstanding success of our dancers at the 2024 World Irish Dance Championships. Competing on the world stage is an extraordinary accomplishment, and our dancers once again showcased their talent, determination, and passion for Irish dance.

Issey – 1st Place, Under 8 World Champion!
At just eight years old, Issey has claimed the top spot in her age group, bringing home a World Champion title. What an incredible achievement for one of our youngest stars!

Eilish – Recalled and 15th Place, Under 13
Congratulations to Eilish for making it through the recall round and finishing an impressive 15th in a highly competitive division.

Isabella – 24th Place, Under 15
A fantastic result for Isabella, placing 24th on the world stage - an achievement that reflects her hard work and dedication.

Sarah – 1st Place, Under 30 World Champion!
Sarah continues to make history for Claddagh, bringing home yet another World Champion title. A true role model for our entire dance family!

We are incredibly proud of every dancer who represented Claddagh at this prestigious event. Their results are a testament to their hard work, resilience, and the supportive community that surrounds them.

WIDA World Championships 2023

We’re proud to celebrate the incredible achievements of our dancers at the 2023 WIDA World Championships, held live in Killarney, Ireland - our first time attending the World Championships in person! This was a truly unforgettable experience for our dancers, who had the opportunity to compete on the world stage and showcase their dedication, skill, and passion for Irish dance.

Sarah – 2nd Place, Under 30

Sarah took to the stage for her very first live World Championships and delivered a beautiful, confident performance. With her outstanding stage presence and strong technique, she earned an incredible 2nd place, making us all so proud. This is a huge achievement and a testament to her dedication and love for Irish dance.

Issey – 3rd Place, Under 8

At just 6 years old, Issey bravely stepped onto the world stage for the very first time - and performed like a seasoned professional! With poise, confidence, and natural talent beyond her years, she earned a well-deserved 3rd place. What a remarkable start to her championship journey!

Tahlee – 8th Place, Under 17

Tahlee is one of the most dedicated dancers at Claddagh. Her hard work, commitment, and relentless effort in the lead-up to the championships were truly inspiring. On the day, she delivered a brilliant performance under pressure, earning an impressive 8th place in the largest and most competitive section of the event. We couldn’t be prouder of everything she has achieved!

International Feis Success

While in Ireland, we also had a talented team compete in the International Feis, gaining valuable experience and making wonderful memories. Congratulations to Issey, Darcy, William, Marley, Eilish, Isabella, and Jasmine for representing Claddagh with pride and passion on the international stage!
